Last week we visited Rotterdam. We traveled by intercity and I was surprised to see double decker train! Yeah! It really gave me a feel of being outside India, being somewhere in a dream land 🙂  And what followed confirmed it!

Rotterdam city is built in 70s. It was completely destroyed during World War II. Architect took it as an opportunity and have built wonderful buildings all over. So not just a particular tourist place, but entire city is worth watching. My hubby and I mostly went walking everywhere, enjoying the unique architecture.

We got down at Rotterdam Blaak. There is a famous market very close to the station. There is specifically a building where every house is like a cube. I  have shared small video, it is amazing!!

The other 2 places that we visited are Erasmusbrug and Euromast! The Erasmusbrug is a bridge(brug = bridge), built across the river New Meuse and connects North and South parts of the city, reminded me of Worli Sea link, Mumbai 😀 Euromast is the tallest building in Rotterdam. It is an observation tower. We get view of entire Rotterdam City. I have its video too!

The weather was quite cloudy that day. And of course very cold. We had a very nice stay. In the end we had lunch at the Blaak market and began our return journey.
